NERD's Next LAN Party

NERD's third LAN Party of the academic year will be at the end of the third week of Winter Quarter, on January 24th and 25th. The LAN Party will begin at 6pm on Saturday and run until 6am on Sunday. Come out and play some video games, both on consoles and computers, and have a good time hanging out with friends and eating free food. 

Video games aren't only for guys, either! There are plenty of fun games for both sexes and for people of all types and skill levels!

Games Include:

Battlefield 2

Warcraft III (regular, DotA)

Worms Armageddeon

Starcraft

Portal 

Halo 3

Super Smash Bros. Melee

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Rock Band 1 & 2

Guitar Hero 3

Retro games (Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye, SNES, etc)

Whatever other games you want to bring!

BRING YOUR STUFF! These can't function without people graciously letting us borrow their electronics and bringing their computers for themselves! If you bring stuff, you get preference for all the food we'll be handing out during the party.

Other likely non-electronic games: Munchkin, Magic

NERD's 2nd LAN of the Year

History

Nerd was founded sometime before most of you freshman were even in high school. At the time the interweb was the information superhighway, but was totally sucky for pwning n00bs. We solved this problem with our beloved Ethernet. With some hard work crimping cables, and reserving the Sequoia room, we had everything we needed.

Now with the invention of hax supersonic webspeed, we still enjoy getting together. There's nothing better than seeing the agony in others faces while beating them. Also, you don't have to put up with all the swearing 13 year old boys. Did I mention we have free food?
